Objectives and contents: This course provides hands-on experience in solving practical problems in production and logistics planning using business analysis and operations research methods. In small teams, students work on projects based on current research results and real industry challenges. Depending on the topic, they apply mathematical modeling, exact optimization, heuristics/metaheuristics, simulation and related techniques. The focus of the course is on the practical application of quantitative methods and modern software tools from the scientific literature. Students develop skills in decision analysis and effective collaboration in project teams.
